I've been wondering if you were aware that you can create German Umlaute and the so called 'sharp s' by using ASCII code. It's very simple. Hold the ALT key and type the following numbers on your number keypad: for "ä": ALT + 0128 for "ö": ALT + 0146 for "ü": ALT + 0152 for "ß": ALT + 0123 Other numerical combinations give you all kinds of letters that are unique to different alphabets. Just thought you might find this interesting. Maybe. Greetings, 44
Oooops, I gave you the wrong compbinations. It should all be two's: ALT + 0228 = "ä" ALT + 0246 = "ö" ALT + 0252 = "ü" ALT + 0223 = "ß" Sorry about that... Try this. It should work now. 44
Are you HOLDING DOWN the ALT key throughout? I've tried on AC's computer, and it's working just fine. How comes everyone knows that you are using a PC and not a Mac? Well, it works on all these PCs around here, but you have to HOLD DOWN the ALT key of course. And don't type the "+". Just ALT and then the numbers. Still not working? This is a fun way of communicating. Well, back to Doppelkopf... 44
Oh, and the numbers MUST BE entered on the NUMBER portion of your keyboard... not on the main part of the keyboard.... Still not working?..?>?>?>?> Now, back to Doppelkopf... C u Tuesday, 44
