Working on a New Podcast
Hey group . . .
One of the things I do occasionally for my profession is create podcasts . . . and I've about finished up a new one.
In this podcast, I interview Tom Carter, author of the book "Choral Charisma: Singing with Expression." Here's a link to the podcast.
Feel free to comment.

My Favorite Catherine Words
It's a wonderful cold Saturday at home. I did nothing constructive and had fun with my girls. Here's the product of our time together.
UAB Honor Choir 2008 Greets Copeland Triplets
Great group of Alabama high school students do me a favor and greet my little girls. In case you can't hear it all . . .they say: "Hi, Catherine, Caroline, and Claire . . . daddy loves you."
Catherine's grin
Copeland triplets enjoy the snow. Quick slideshow.

The Crayola Crayon Portraits Project
Found this on YouTube tonight. Really great work by Keith Kendrick, a former choir member. Recognize anyone?
Saturday Performance Cancelled
They are canceling the rest of UAB Honor Choir at 3:00 pm. today for threat of snow. Dr. Reynolds email:
So . . . no performance tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend.
All,
With the possibility of bad weather, both for our area and for those students coming from other areas of the state, we are canceling all activities tomorrow related to the Honor Choir Weekend. Today's rehearsals and events will end at 3:00 p.m. to permit travel back home.
All the best for a good weekend.

Chafles Henfy Rinds Effof in Pfevious Post
My apologies to Chafles rof the r/f mistake in the pfevious post. I'm soffy, Chafles.
My music and my running
Apple and ITunes sure make it easy to share information about yourself. (not that anyone cares, that is)
Anyway, I saw this My iTunes widget functioning on Chris Josef's blog and got a version for my own. It is in addition to the other iTunes widget that displays my latest run. It's not that I care to share all that information, but I'm trying to use it as a motivational tool . . . if my last run is displayed, maybe I'll actually fun more.
Dr. Gainey and I are talking about attempting a big run coming up . . but, again . . . I'm not sure I'll survive. We'll see how the training goes over the next few weeks.
In other wacky news:
The UAB Choir Blog is first among GOOGLE hits for the phrase "burger king eliminates the whopper". bIZARRE, eH?

dad the babysitter
Caroline and I are watching YouTube videos today. (the nanny has the day off!)
The other girls are playing. Somewhere.
Program: UAB Honor Choir performance
Here's what we'll be singing on 1/19:
Regina Coeli
Romuald Twardowski (b. 1930)
Justorum Animae, Op. 38, No. 1
Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924)
He's Got the Whole World
Raymond Liebau (b. 1954)
I'm bringing back the Stanford piece because I want to get a good recording of that work - I saw it on our Fall Concert video the other day and really liked it.
We'll be learning the Liebau piece first this Spring.
