It's amazing how things get edited... A few years ago in B'ham a newspaper doing a story regarding the Eracism campaign in B'ham referred to me as half Native American, rather than half Indian. It was fairly amusing, but also incredibly incorrect... -Holly S.
In my feature writing class, my teacher, who is the features editor of the Birmingham News, told us about how once they did a story on Frank Fleming, the guy who did those statues in Southside and in the Aly Stevens. It got edited to read in the headline "Frank Flaming in Southside"...and he happens to be gay. Luckily he thought it was funny.

Auto correct is an amazing thing. Our e-mail client at work changes Labinal (a company name) to labial(you know).
At least he "eased into" the 100 final, and barely averted a "major flop"...serves the paranoid amongst us right for trying to control the world...
