Congratulations, Dr. Copeland and everyone fortunate enough to be in the UAB Choir! I know the performance must have been an exhilirating experience for you all. Take it all in, remember every moment, and use it to propel you to even greater heights ahead of you. You are truly fortunate to be under the direction of such an accomplished director. So proud for ALL of you!!! - Jennifer Wilkinson

AH!!!! That is absolutely one of the most flattering things I have ever read! I hope everyone in the choir reads that! It's such a sense of accomplishment to hear that things we were conveying were able to jump the gap from our heart into his! I really am absolutely ecstatic after reading that. Congratulations Dr. Copeland, thanks for helping us pull together an absolutely breathtaking program and performance. Congratulations choir, for coming together as a family of musicians united behind a single purpose. The only regret I have is that I wish this could have taken place earlier in the year. I am absolutely overflowing with love and pride for our group. I really hope everyone else feels the same way and realizes that we are all a part of something very unique, and special. Our group of people is diverse in almost every way imaginable but our ability to come together like this is nothing short of moving. I cannot even begin to put into words how thankful I am for EVERY MEMBER of our choir. Stifling back tears is a regular when rehearsing and performing with this group. The emotional link I feel with our group and the audiences we perform for can only be described with words like spiritual, other-worldly, and metaphysical. ALL of you lift me up to a higher plane of existence, and our daily experiences with each other serves as a kind of enlightenment for me regularly. So, all of that mushy stuff aside I just want to thank everyone again for what I'm a part of, the sustenance it provides me with, and the service I see it provide to others. We can talk about our shortcomings and polish out our scuffs at a later date, but for now I am absolutely beaming with happiness because of what everyone has done. Guys, we're enriching peoples lives with our music, and that's a really big deal. It's pretty sick if I say so myself.

I have to say, that this was one of my favorite performances we've put on in my few years here at UAB, and reading Paul Carey's review simply reinforced that belief.
To tell the truth, before this trip and this performance, I was feeling a little underwhelmed with my experience in the choir this semester, due to both stress in school and forces of stress outside of school. But I must say that I've found a renewed strength and love for this choir as I've always searched for and, mostly, found in choirs.
I'm so appreciative of all the hard work and emotion we've put into our music this year.

I am so lucky to be only one part of this great choir. And, most of all, Blessed to have Philip Copeland as my director. As Paul Carey said, you are truly unique in your style of conducting and it has always brought out the best in me. I agree with Madi and Chris in finding a "renewed strength and love for this choir". I didn't know what i was getting into when I first arrived, but now it's like I have a great big Family! I encourage the rest of our family to really appreciate the passion we have for music, the great direction we have in Dr, Copeland, and the times we spend together.
I am truly honored to be with you guys! :)
