The Verdi was Magnificent

Congratulations, Choir!

I thought the Verdi Requiem was fantastic tonight. Justin Brown has to be one of the most expressive conductors around--I thought he was magnificent in his control, expression, and passion for the event.

I'd enjoy hearing your experience . . . let me know!

the biggest problem is ABSOLUTELY, HANDS-DOWN, people NOT watching Justin. It's realllllllly irritating, and there's nothing I can do about it. It doesn't matter if the person claims that they know the Requiem backwards and forwards, they're still going to be looking at their score and creating their own tempo, and driving me CRAZY.
Other than that, I thought our softs were too loud, but everything else was great! The Dies Irae is my favorite favorite favorite and I guess I have to be honest and say I like the whole mess a lot more with the symphony. :)

Either way, it's one o'clock and I'm making peanut butter cookies when I should be sleeping.
