Commentary

I don't normally comment on local news stories, but this phrase from one article struck me as funny:

Wilhite said the school system forbids students to bring their cell phones to school, so it's unlikely that the nude photos are being transmitted or received by students during school hours.
Sure . . . since there is a rule against cell phones at school . . . it's unlikely that students break the rule?

Does anyone else think that principal is a little too trusting?

Do you really think he's too trusting or do you think he's saying that because then he's covered if something were to go awry?

My favorite part was later in the article where the same principal discusses three other students who were disciplined for misuse of cellphones at school. So that group of students used their phones, but it is "unlikely" that this group did? I agree with Holly...this is called CYA mode - cover yours. And it was probably scripted in advance. imho...:)

There is a general lack of common sense in the world today. This article is just one example.
