Audition Information, again

Audition Schedule: Monday, August 20, 2007

1:00 p.m. Singers who have not had a private audition
1:30 All Male Singers (new and returning)
2:30 All Female Singers (new and returning)
5:00 Choir list posted, call backs for Chamber Singers posted on door of Hulsey 308
5:05 Call back auditions for Chamber Singers

No preparation is necessary. Students will need to add all appropriate ensembles to their schedule on Tuesday, August 21 to avoid drop/add fees. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 22.

Sign-up Information

If you make UAB Concert Choir:

· You must sign up for BOTH courses:

o MUP 220 Section 1 G CRN 52001 (MWF, 2-2:50)

o MUP 220L Section 2 E CRN 53342 (TuTh, 2-3:15)

If you make UAB Women’s Chorale:

· Course information:

o MUP 321 Section 1 M CRN 52174 (MWF, 3-3:50)

If you make UAB Chamber Singers:

· Course information:

o MUP 320 Section 3 A CRN 52173 (MW, 4-5:15)

Drop/Add Information:

If you are signed up for a choir and did not pass the audition, you must drop the course by Tuesday, August 21 at 5:00 p.m. or you will incur fees.

Opera Auditions:

Auditions will occur on Monday, August 20th from 7-9 p.m.

To participate in opera scenes, please prepare one song or aria in any language that shows your voice to best advantage. When possible, sing an aria. Please have your music memorized and a clean, unfolded copy for the accompanist.
