I am very surprised at how beautiful the Ave Maris Stella sounds. Though my favorite is Rise Up.

Hahaha... we rock! And, thank-you!

I think they all turned out really well. The women sound a little narrow just at the beginning of Ave Maris Stella... but, that was the only thing I, personally, noticed. Beautiful River is amazing... and the female blend at the beginning of Si ch'io is the best I've heard from us. They all turned much better than I remember thinking we sounded... which is pretty darn good. I'm really happy! Yay!

I have to say I had a holy moment listening to Ave Maris Stella. I knew I liked it when we were doing it, but man it sounds amazing. I wish we could hear these recordings while we were still in the process of laying the tracks down because I personally get a much broader perspective of what it sounds like with all the parts together, which I can't always hear when we're singing. I agree with Katie in that we could probably have a fuller, darker sound, especially in the first soprano section. Of course, I'm overly critical of my own section. Overall, I think we're absolutley fantastic and I'm so proud to be a part of this group! I can't wait for tomorrow! See you all soon.
