Somehow, the September 11 tragedy is much more real to me today than it was then. Maybe it is the five year anniversary, maybe it is because I've recently been to New York.Maybe it's because I'm one of the bloggers that will be participating in a recognition of the 2996 people that died on the actual day of the anniversary . . . I don't know.
I saw this video tonight. It's another haunting reminder of what happened that terrible day.

that delayed reaction happened to me, too. Granted, i was only 13 on 9/11, but the full effect of what happened didn't hit me till i was looking at some pictures of the event. that combined with my mom's stories (she was a medic to the guys working on the pile) really brought it home...
no pun intended. :D
